Civil Society Organisation

Nanotechnologies is a rapid expanding field of research and businesses. This gives a lot of new opportunities for a more sustainable world. But how do Civil Society Organisations (CSO) keep pace with these new developments? How do citizens balance benefit and risk? And how can CSO’s play a role in this wide range of societal needs and desires? Together with GoNano you will work in a more resilient and robust way to incorporate different viewpoints from all stakeholders (citizens, industry, researchers, policy makers) involved. We will co-create concrete product suggestions within the areas of food, health and energy, illustrate new opportunities for innovation and develop policy recommendations.

What GoNano will bring you

  • help you get more engaged in nanotechnologies
  • provides you with knowledge and training on nanotechnologies
  • make the process and outcome tangible
  • find ways to develop urgent strategies and how to address them
  • transform customers into responsible users, create products/processes which might fit better to their needs and desires
  • understand the perceptions and concerns of others about the use of nanotechnologies
  • work together with other stakeholders to develop technologies in a more sustainable way
  • create more transparency in the discussion of nanotechnologies
  • expand your network
  • design of an innovation agenda with innovation trajectories
  • find new collaborations and funding opportunities
  • include risks and hazards in the discussions
  • include environmental and health issues in the discussions
