The members of the GoNano Consortium met in Rome, Italy, on 11-12th November 2019, hosted by the Italian partner, Airi (Italian Association for Industrial Research). The main goal of the meeting was to discuss the findings of the project, and define suitable ways to communicate and disseminate them in the final phases of the project.
During day one, the results of both the Online citizens consultation and the second round of stakeholder workshops on co-creation in nanotechnologies in the three areas of healthcare, food and energy were presented. Overall, about 900 European citizens replied to the survey, results are now available in a dedicated report. The discussion was then focused on how to design the GoNano White Papers and policy briefs, that will provide recommendations on policies, methodologies and practices to implement co-creation approaches in public and private research organizations. The White Papers will be made available for public consultation in early 2020.
The final part of the day was devoted to the organization of the GoNano Winter School: Creating Social Value with Nanotechnology, a three days training event (Feb 4-7, 2020, Barcelona) that will involve professionals and students from all over Europe to practice on co-creation in research and innovation.
Day two of the meeting was focused on the communication and dissemination activities planned during the final phase of the project, including a series of media briefs and webinars, providing a summary of the methodologies, recommendations, good practices and product suggestions developed by GoNano, and the organization of the GoNano final conference, that will take place in Brussels, on June 24th-25th.
