About
The Danish Board of Technology Foundation is an independent, nonprofit, common good, corporative foundation SME committed to technology assessment, citizen engagement and paticipatory decision-making, parliamentary advisory activities on science, technology and innovation, foresight and methodological research. DBT has played an important role internationally in bringing focus to the importance of citizen participation and co-creation in technological development, administrative planning, and political decision-making.
Role
DBT is the coordinating partner of GoNano and has extensive experience in the coordination of large projects, hereunder EC-funded research projects from FP5 to H2020. Besides leading the project management (WP8), DBT is in charge of the co-creation platform and the methods and manuals for pilot studies (WP2), takes part in the communication efforts (WP7), develop co-creation training materials for researchers and engineers and lead the organization of the final conference (WP6).
Experience
The DBT is specialized in interactive methodologies involving trans-disciplinary research, stakeholder involvement, citizen participation, political deliberation and advice, public communication and participatory reserch and innovation. For more than 10 years DBT has been developing ICT tools for support of face-to-face participatory projects.
Examples of projects the DBT has coordinated include: EUROPTA (FP5), CIVISTI (FP6), PACITA, Engage2020, DESSI (all FP7) and CIMULACT (H2020).
