During summer 2019 we asked EU citizens about the proposals of research aims and products that were suggested earlier by nano experts in cooperation with the public. More than 500 citizens from the whole EU brought feedback to proposals in the areas of food, health and energy: Which products and research aims seem the most interesting for citizens? Which products and research aims are perceived to become potentially dangerous? These results would form the main input for the next step of the meeting of experts, which will take place on the 22nd October in the Technology centre CAS headquarters.
The purpose of the next meeting is to implement the results of the online consultation into the specific ideas in nanotechnologies and food – novel foods, nanofilters and smart food packages.
We would also discuss the limits that especially communication of these new products can entail.
Date: October 22nd 2019 (Registration closed)
