TRACES is think-and-do, non-profit group in Paris, France, on science, its communication and its relationship with society. Traces aims to create spaces in which to reflect, experiment and innovate in the fields of science in society and public communication of science.
They want to encourage the general public to share concern about science and technology, give society the tools they need to establish their position, back-up their arguments and make choices, and help society to realise that they can play a role if they choose to do so. So, rather than looking for empowerment and learning through the acquisition of knowledge, TRACES would like to ensure that individuals can claim ownership of their personal learning pathway and link it to their own concerns, whether mundane or fundamental.
